NT Labs Malachite is an effective treatment for external parasite and fungus infections. When used together with NT Labs Formaldehyde it's activity is enhanced which means that less malachite can be used.
Use NT Labs Malachite when fish have white growths on the body, head or fins, which may contain some green or brown discolouration. Malachite can be used in conjunction with Formaldehyde to treat fungal infections more effectively.
How to use NT Labs Malachite
- Test your water quality using NT Labs Test Kits.
- Mix the appropriate dosage in a clean bucket of pond water, pour evenly over the surface of the pond and leave for 7 days. Switch off UV filtration until treatment has been completed. Aerate the pond well during treatment.
- If you feel a repeat dose is necessary, check your diagnosis carefully using the microscope; a different medication may be more suitable. Allow 7 days and perform a partial water change before re-treating or treating with a different medication.
- Always treat when you have time to observe fish and take appropriate action in the unlikely event of a bad reaction.
- If required, mix with Formaldehyde prior to adding to the pond, following the instructions above.
Warning:
Do not use with orfe, rudd, tench or sturgeon/sterlet. Do not use if the water temperature is above 30°C. Do not use in hot, humid, thundery conditions. Do not mix medications, other than combining with Koi Care Formaldehyde.
High dose or frequently repeating dosing can damage the gills of the fish. If the required effect has not been achieved after two treatments, take further advice to establish the real cause of the problem.

Damages
Although we check that items we send are in good condition before despatched and are packed well to prevent damage, it is sometimes inevitable that the occasional item will get broken in transit.
Should this happen, please let us know within 24 hours of receiving your parcel. We will ask you to email us providing some images of the damage so we can address this with the courier.
We will arrange for a replacement to be sent out to you as quickly as possible, free of charge.
