The Yamitsu Quartz Sleeve insulates the lamp from the water, allowing the lamp to operate at the optimum performance.
The ultraviolet lamp will remain independent of the flow of water. Yamitsu Quartz Sleeves are of open ended construction and are made from pure fused quartz.
Quartz is extremely transparent over a wide spectral range, with a low coefficient of thermal expansion and quartz is resistant to scratching and thermal shock. Fused quartz is made form crushing and melting natural materials. The purity of quartz is paramount to the efficiency of the lamp and sleeve.

Damages
Although we check that items we send are in good condition before despatched and are packed well to prevent damage, it is sometimes inevitable that the occasional item will get broken in transit.
Should this happen, please let us know within 24 hours of receiving your parcel. We will ask you to email us providing some images of the damage so we can address this with the courier.
We will arrange for a replacement to be sent out to you as quickly as possible, free of charge.
