Well we have, which has led to us to embark on designing and manufacturing something to cure the problem, and here it is the one that really works.
This virtually eliminates water tension on any bar on or near the water level allowing free passage of all surface debris. Anything vertical or horizontal will always prevent total skimming.
The guard itself is manufactured from plastic and completely at home in both fresh and salt water and will safeguard your fish for many years to come.
All the edges of the guard are polished and honed to an ultra smooth finish It is so simple to fit and takes just a couple of minutes.
Small skimmer: 210 x 205 x 8mm.
Large skimmer: 360 x 195 x 8mm.
All You need to do is remove two of the existing stainless steel screws, offer the guard to the opening and replace the two screws. Its that easy!

Palletised items - Some large oversize products, typically items weighing more than 30kg, may require delivery via pallet. Standard Pallet charge is approx. £50.00. To ensure there are no delays with delivery, please include a contact number when placing the order.
Overseas – DHL and UPS, cost based on weight / volume at checkout.
Damages
Although we check that items we send are in good condition before despatched and are packed well to prevent damage, it is sometimes inevitable that the occasional item will get broken in transit.
Should this happen, please let us know within 24 hours of receiving your parcel. We will ask you to email us providing some images of the damage so we can address this with the courier.
We will arrange for a replacement to be sent out to you as quickly as possible, free of charge.
